Halter Hotties say: Halter tops in cold weather? Heck Yeah!

St. Louis isn’t known for being warm in October, but Halter Hotties helped raise the temp a few degrees when we showed up for fashion week October 12- 18. I know, I know, it was a spring preview show. But we found some hot looks we’re going to pass on that you can use now, because we care, and we know you want to bare that Halter Hotties top!

Think LEGS! I know, we’re all about the halter tops, but imagine this Halter Hotties':

Start with this sumptuous silk, English Rose,

add a short little brown skirt, and find orange tights. Or yellow tights, red tights, purple, whatever. Don’t be scared, it’s okay: look at what they’re doing on the runway.

Grab a leather jacket (think, fitted biker) and Jungle Cat

some distressed jeans and killer, high-heeled boots. Prepare to stalk your prey.

Aiming for a more “corporate slayer” image? Find that fitted black blazer and matching pencil skirt. Grab Siren Call

and a pair of –you guessed it—killer high heels. Prepare to meet that glass ceiling and shatter it. Later, take off that jacket and head to a restaurant you love with that guy whose job you covet. Have a fabulous glass of wine and filet mignon, fireside, after your workday is done. Forget golf-course office politics, go with main course office politics!

So you already landed the fellow, but need the fire? Ramp up the romance in He Loves Me…

Pair with your favorite cashmere cardigan and a flirty, floaty skirt, and watch the sparks ignite!

Dominatrix fun keeps your sparks popping? Find those killer boots, a short-but-sweet black pencil skirt, this top Zen Master

and your leather jacket. He’ll be your willing slave, you can be his master. Just make sure he says it, “thank you Ms. Hottie master, may I have another?”

High Fashion, meet Halter Hotties! Our halter tops heat up the St Louis Runway for Fashion Week!

A few of our Halter Hotties traveled to the chilly Midwest to join up with the likes Black Halo, Cloak & Dagger, Love Brigade, Bolongaro Trevor’s, Wrath Arcane, Amy Johnson, and Lori Coulter.

Forget about our immersion in Halloween festivities: spring was in the air, if only near the runways as the looks paraded forecast a leggy, colorful season coming up. Our halter tops traveled the runway with Mary Jane’s at Current, whose sass and sex appeal are a marvelous match-up for the heat of Halter Hotties.

Our Orient Express halter top looked stunning paired with a tailored skirt and fabulously chunky-heeled, strappy shoes; bare legs gave a sunny, warm look while a black lariat choker/necklace pulled in the black from the skirt.

St Louis was a great opportunity for us; the show features a cutting-edge, indie spirit and brought to light a couple of kindred spirits: Wrath Arcane, will you be our boyfriend? We’ll match up our Halter Hottie with some well-worn denim and we can take our mutual environmentally sensitive, made-in-the-USA vibe to the streets together. And Lori Coulter, wanna be a Halter Hottie BFF? Your deliciously body-baring custom-made bathing suits can hang with us poolside anytime!!

Halter Tops, Romance & Ghosts… A Big Easy Get-A-Way

When Kim started Halter Hotties, I had no idea how busy she would become. And when the social book-marketing began I had know idea how busy I would become. In a fit of melancholy, my mind wanders to the days before the house and child. When our duties were 9 to 5 and romantic weekends were the standard not the exception.

So join me on this excursion down Wishful Thinking Avenue, as I create an adventure for you and her.

The leaves are turning golden and the air is getting crisp. Our favorite holiday is quickly approaching. A time when Witches are welcome and Ghouls are cool… Halloween! We love this time of year. Our house becomes a movie set and creative ideas rattle their chains in our brains for the perfect holiday adventure. We've done the big parties and joined the parades at Disneyworld. But there's one place that says 'Halloween' to us that we've never been.

I'm talking New Orleans. What better place than the Big Easy to revel in costumed abandon? No Mardi Gras crowd of drunken frat boys and bead crazed debutantes. Just you, your Honey and a city full of mystery and adventure…

The foundation of a really good vacation is a place to regroup and recoup after a day of seeing the sights and I've got just the place.
Renaissance Pere Marquette
located just two blocks from the French Quarter. This historic 19-story hotel boast's a beautiful rooftop pool for cooling off after a day of exploration. After a dip head downstairs and enjoy southern favorites in the
Mila Restaurant and Bar. Or grab a seat at the Bar Uncommon and listen to some local, live jazz.

I love to spoil my girl and a new outfit is a great start. Here's what I have in mind…

To start she'll need a great top, hmmm. How about a Halter Hotties halter top! Noir Chat is the one I'm thinking. This golden, silk, fully lined halter top with it's iconic black cat would be perfect for a night in the French quarter.

In case there's a chill when the sun goes down she's going to need a good coat. I found this hand-sewn lambskin leather trench from Santos Leather on Etsy. The distressed leather and antique zippers will feel right at home prowling the gas lamp lit boulevards.

from eModa.com. Seems appropriate for the times and matched with these
Easy Black Leather
cuff boots from Ash, she'll be stepping in style.

Even though it's not the season for beads in the Big Easy... A girls still got to have some sparkle, I know my baby would love to have the Moor Ring by Ana Cavalheiro flashing on her finger.

This 14k gold ring with Smokey Quartz and Maderia citrines is sure to attract the spirits as they head toward your light.

There's nothing spooky about this gorgeous
Carla Mancini Tote with Front Tassel
. The red crocodile, Italian leather looks right at home from the bayou to Bourbon Street .

To complete this spooktacular outfit… I found this awesome Black Cat Leather mask from Teonova on Etsy. Hand molded and formed from dyed leather with a protective topcoat, a purrr~fect finish for your Halloween ensemble.

All dressed up and need somewhere to go? I'd like to try the Hostel Restaurant and Ultra Lounge. Located in the French Quarter this hip restaurant has European flair with southern charm wrapped up in a chic modern package.

Then we can finish our evening by slipping the mask back on and letting a theatrical New Orleans tour guide take us on a trip through the most haunted places in the French Quarter!!

Halter Hotties, Up To Her Eyeballs in Vera

Fall is in the air and my wife is in the basement…

As the first day of autumn is finally upon us, Kim is downstairs in her studio sorting through the 200 Vera scarves she bought from a collector and friend yesterday. She picked some truly beautiful ones and is very excited about the Halter Tops they will soon become.

So why isn’t she here posting this blog? Well, because she's downstairs with 200 new scarves!

In the best tradition of a loving partnership, it has fallen to me (the Hottie Husband) to step up to the plate and give her the opportunity to actually get some halters made.

With any luck I'll get a kiss on the cheek for my attempt and not the arched eyebrow that lets me know I have serious rewrite ahead of me.

Wish me luck!

Jaymz Alexander, The Hottie Husband.
